(Marietta, OH) - The Marietta Police Department is seeking to identify a suspect in a robbery.

A Marietta PD Officer was sent to Go-Mart in Marietta in reference to a theft. Upon arrival the officer spoke with a Go-Mart employee who informed the officer that a man had came into the store stating he was waiting for a ride.

The employee then began to label sandwiches for breakfast, still with the man in view. She told the officer that the next thing she knew the man was gone and had stolen the Humane Society donation box that had been sitting on the counter.

The employee was notified by a regular customer that they saw the young man running through the parking lot to an adjacent field. The suspect was not located.

A description of the suspect is a young white male in his late teens to early 20's, around 5'5 tall with a thin build and short dark hair. In the security pictures he is seen wearing a dark shirt with "HITMAN" printed on it. It also appears that he has both forearms tattooed.

Anyone with any information is asked to call the Marietta Police Department at (740) 376-2007.
