(MARIETTA, OH) - Changes in pharmacy procedures have forced the Washington County Home to use a credit card for emergency purposes.

Direct billing has stopped at area pharmacies, which means the County Home's residents will need officials to have a credit card handy so they can get emergency prescriptions filled as quickly as possible.

The Washington County Commissioners approved the new card Thursday, saying it is only to be used in cases of emergency and exclusively by the County Home staff.
